Walk details: The Walk for Kids Help Phone had been moved from Jackson Park to: Nicholls Oval at 725 Armour Road in Peterborough. Due to a recent storm, a lot of trees have toppled over in Jackson Park and the City has deemed it unsafe for public use.
Registration began at 9:00am and the official walk started at 10:00am.
Please note The Walk for Kids Help Phone will start at the Parkhill and Monaghan entrance.
This event was a family-friendly affair, which featured:
• Free coffee, snacks and lunch
• Children’s activities including professional facepainting by Checkers the Clown and t-shirt decorating courtesy of Crayola Canada and Ricart Trophies
• Entertainment by Tony Downer, local Elvis impersonator and Kids Help Phone volunteer
Deputy Mayor declared May 1st Kids Help Phone Day in Peterborough!
Prizes were sent a few lucky walkers on May 1st.
